Hardcover printing

The production of hardcover is, of course, a whole set of postpress processes. Naturally, they are aimed at fastening the manufactured cover with the printed block. First of all, with the help of, firstly, the flyleaf and, secondly, the impalement. It is they who connect the printed pages and binding. We offer hardcover printing and, of course, several types of bindings. For example, they differ not only in appearance, but also in price. Therefore, first of all, when placing an order on our website, the client needs to clearly understand what type of binding is needed.

Hardcover Print Binding Features

To print a hardcover book, you need only two elements:

  1. First, the cover. The cover of a book that holds the sheets together. Naturally, it protects them from deformation and, for example, pollution. In addition, it is an element of decorative design. It, of course, displays the author’s data, the title of the publication, the year of issue, the publisher and other information.
  2. Second, the book block. This is the inside of the book, which consists of a whole set of printed sheets. Most importantly, they are folded and fastened in a certain sequence.

Please note that we have indicated two bonding methods:

  • sewing with threads in notebooks on modern sewing equipment;
  • gluing with special glue (naturally, this method will cost less than the previous one).

Making hardcover books

The choice in favor of the first or second option depends, of course, on the circulation and content of the pages. Digital technology, most importantly, provides high speed printing and an affordable price for single, small and medium runs. Naturally, if we are talking, for example, about a large circulation, then the offset printing method is suitable in the optimal price-quality ratio.

The choice of paper is also important. Meanwhile, we offer the following options:

  • newspaper;

  • cardboard.

The cost of hardcover, first of all, is determined starting from the format. We offer to perform from the smallest (180x150mm) to A3 size. Naturally, the right format is the key to the success of any publication. In other words, decide on the size depending on the purpose of the publication, design, design and volume of the indoor unit.

Hardcover Printing: Types of Covers

Types of hardcover books are classified according to the type of bound cover. It is made of cardboard 2 mm thick, pasted over with laminated paper or fabric material (for example, leather, eco-leather, synthetic and others). 

  1. Binding No. 7. When covering the lid, we use, first of all, high-quality textiles. Most importantly, it is stylized under the skin: bumvinyl, balacron, lederin, leatherette or leather. The cover is decorated with different embossing options, for example: blind (blind), hot stamping. Naturally, with the use of metallized foil of different colors (most often gold or silver). In addition, metal corners are attached.
  2. Binding No. 7B. When making this binding, we, of course, suggest customers to use textiles on cotton, paper and fabric bases, as well as, for example, designer cardboard with a textured surface. The main advantage, of course, is the ability to perform full-color printing. In addition, it is permissible to use embossing and metal inserts, as in the previous version. Of course, it has an affordable price.
  3. Binding No. 7BC. Of course, this is a classic when publishing large editions of books. In addition, a colorful full-color cover with lamination. Printing is primarily applied to coated paper. In addition, there are many more ways to decorate, for example: embossing, UV varnishing, glitter varnish and other methods.
