Padded binding on a staple

The most budget-friendly way to bind a small number of sheets is, first of all, a soft staple binding. This method is simple and certainly reliable. Therefore, it is excellent for a wide variety of materials that vary in size (for example, the most popular formats are A3, A4, and A5).

Staples are made of different materials:

  • copper;
  • steel;
  • galvanized;
  • nickel.

It is noted that stapling is used in the production of method books, brochures, as well as magazines and, of course, books (of course, with a small volume). The materials are easy to open and neat, convenient for studying materials or taking notes. And, importantly, high resistance to frequent use.

Soft binding on the staple: types

Despite its simplicity, staple binding (also called wire binding) comes in two forms:

  • First, staple binding (into the spine of the product from the outside);
  • Secondly, bind on the back (along the folds of the spine).

Before performing the process of stapling with metal staples, you must first perform preparatory work. Of course, we are talking about the order of the sheets, which in a certain order (according to numbering) form the pages of the product. This procedure in small printing centers is done manually. At our publishing house, it is done automatically – on special professional machines. Of course, this also includes a thick cover, stapling and folding of the product.

To perform the procedure manually (e.g. for small print runs), we use not only a professional office stapler, but also a special, rotary stapler. This is quite sufficient to perform stapling of various sizes without damaging the printed product. The size and number of staples are selected depending on the thickness of the block to be stapled.
