Features of cooperation

First of all, the publication of scientific works is an important event in the life of every scientist. However, in short, preparing monographs for printing distracts from scientific activities. Subsequently, it can become a real headache for the authors. But, to help them, the publishing house Arbuz offers its services. The publishing house works firstly with beginners and secondly with experienced authors. For example, it is possible to issue one copy or a large print run.

The typical structural elements of the work are of course present.

  1. Title.
  2. Information about the author.
  3. Preface, introduction.
  4. Main part (e.g. sections, chapters or paragraphs).
  5. Conclusions.
  6. List of sources used in the appendix.

In order to place an order, the author must first provide:

  • the text of the manuscript;
  • all graphic and photographic materials;
  • a detailed description of the requirements for the design layout.

Ways of publishing monographs

Publishing a scientific monograph is done in several ways.

  1. Offset printing. It is used primarily for producing a large number of books. This method allows printing on offset and coated paper. Printing can be, for example, color and black and white. The technology provides an excellent opportunity to produce printed products in one or two standard colors. This makes it possible to make the text not black, but, for example, dark blue. Cover printed in this way, first of all, can not concede or even additionally win the appearance of the full-color version.
  2. Digital printing. It is used for editions with a run of up to 100 pieces. This method allows printing only on offset 80g/m² paper and coated paper. Prints are therefore in color and black and white.
  3. Printing on the risograph. Production of books of intermediate runs between the offset and digital method. Only offset paper is suitable for printing. The quality, however, on the risograph is suitable for text, but not for graphic elements and images. The printing is predominantly monochrome black and white.

The type of cover has a major influence on the cost of the publication. For simple works we offer covers printed in one or two colors, and also a soft cover. Medium-weight paper is used, and lamination, however, is optional. Full-color printing and hardcover, of course, will cost more.

Assignment of codes and copyright mark

Присвоение кода ISBN

Publishing scientific monographs includes assigning ISBNs, UDCs, LBCs, and an author’s mark.

What are they for? First of all, the publication must be registered with the Ukrainian Book Chamber. ISBN is a 13-digit number with a barcode, which identifies an edition and its publisher.

You may also order this service from our printing house. For example, via the website, by phone or in other ways at very attractive prices. We take care of all questions about registration and distribution of duplicates, of course.

Rates and deadlines for publishing monographs

The standard edition of collective monographs is made up of printed A4 pages. But the customer can order the format he wants. Consequently, the more time it will take to bring the materials to the appropriate form, the longer the time it will take to complete the work.

Cooperation with us is first of all profitable.

  1. Adequate prices – there is no middleman’s margin, we do all the work.
  2. High quality of products – close contacts of our publishing department with production guarantee technically correct preparation of layouts for printing.
