Amazon KDP is a convenient tool for authors all over the world. It lets you publish books without intermediaries and sell them worldwide. If you want to know how to publish a book on Amazon, registering an account is the mandatory first step. Amazon KDP account registration has to be done correctly, and that is why we offer you our help with this stage.

And if you would like to learn more about the whole process of writing and publishing a book, we run a dedicated mini course on these topics.

What Amazon KDP is

Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is a service for self publishing a book. The author uploads the text, designs the cover and manages the sales. Publication is free of charge, but it requires the right setup.

Many authors choose Amazon KDP because the platform brings together millions of readers. On top of that, it lets you publish books at any time without approval from a publishing house. That matters to anyone who values freedom and wants to control the publishing process. Self publishing gives you more opportunities, but it also demands more responsibility. That is exactly why we offer professional help.

Registering on the Amazon KDP platform opens the door to the largest book market in the world. You can sell both electronic and printed versions of your own books. Selling books on Amazon is a realistic way to earn an income.

Why help with registration is worth having

Many authors are not familiar with the English language interface or with the technical requirements. Registration calls for tax forms, payment information and a residential address. For a newcomer that can be difficult. This is why we offer a service: turnkey Amazon KDP account registration.

Our specialists take on all the technical questions. You receive an account that is fully ready for work and that meets every requirement of the platform. After that you can upload books and start publishing on Amazon.

Despite the simplicity of the interface, Amazon KDP requires knowledge of many details. It is important, for example, to state the country correctly in order to receive payments. You also have to complete the tax form that confirms your status as a foreign author. Without that form the platform withholds up to 30% of your income. Registration therefore demands accuracy and an understanding of every stage. We help you avoid mistakes and set the account up by the rules: we do not simply create the account, we explain each step and save your time, your money and your nerves.

How Amazon KDP account registration is carried out

Registering an account on Amazon KDP is a mandatory step if you want to start self publishing and set up sales of books on Amazon. Despite the simplicity of the interface, the process includes several important stages, and each of them demands attention. Below we describe in detail how it all happens and why registration is better left to specialists.

How to avoid having the account blocked

It is important to remember that Amazon monitors compliance with its rules strictly. If you enter incorrect details, fail to confirm your identity or upload someone else’s content, the account can be blocked. To avoid that, it is better to entrust registration to specialists. We know all the requirements and we keep track of the latest updates to Amazon KDP policy.

Unlike automated services, we take an individual approach to every author. We not only create the account, we also explain how to work with the system afterwards. You receive step by step instructions, support and recommendations. On request we can also help with the cover design, the layout, uploading the book and setting up the description. Our goal is not simply to register you, but to bring your book to the market.

How We Work

Workflow

01

Creating the Amazon account

The first thing to do is to register on the Amazon platform. If you already have an Amazon account, you can use it. For authors and publishers, however, we recommend setting up a separate account used only for KDP.

02

Signing in to Kindle Direct Publishing

Once the account exists, you need to go to kdp.amazon.com. There you accept the terms of use and move on to setting up the profile.

03

Filling in the publisher details

At this stage it is important to give the full name or the company name, the postal address, a contact telephone number and your citizenship. If the details are entered incorrectly, problems with payouts can appear later.

04

Setting up the payment information

Next come the bank details. Amazon transfers royalties directly to your card. If the format is wrong, payments will be blocked. It is therefore important to use international details (IBAN, SWIFT) and a bank account that accepts transfers in dollars, euros or pounds.

05

Completing the tax form

Amazon requires every author to complete the W-8BEN form. This is a tax document confirming that you are not a resident of the United States. If the form is not submitted, Amazon withholds up to 30% of your income. The form is completed online and in English, which makes this stage difficult for many authors. We help you fill it in correctly and activate payouts without tax losses.

06

Verifying the account

Amazon sometimes asks you to upload documents: a passport, a bank statement, proof of address. This protects the platform against fraud. Until you pass this check you cannot publish books.

07

Publishing the first book

Once the account is fully activated you can upload files, design the cover and write the description. This is where selling books on Amazon begins. You then choose the format of the edition, the price and the distribution territory.
